On the 22nd<\/sup>\u00a0July 2016, 50 turtles belong to four species were transferring to the Cuc Phuong Turtle Conservation Centre (TCC) \u2013 Cuc Phuong National Park in Vietnam. They had all been rescued from the illegal wildlife trade by the law enforcement department and transferred to Soc Son Wildlife Rescue Centre (WRC) in June. Under a formal agreement between Soc Son WRC and Cuc Phuong National Park the animals were transferred to the Turtle Conservation Centre (TCC) where more suitable facilities are available for the animals. This is the second group of turtles handed over from Soc Son WRC to the TCC this year, with over 130 animals, showing the effective cooperation for turtle conservation between Cuc Phuong NP and Soc Son WRC.<\/p>\n

We would like to send a big thank you to Soc Son Wildlife Rescue Centre (WRC), Cuc Phuong National Park, and the Asian Turtle Program (ATP) of Indo Myanmar Conservation (IMC) who continue to work with us on all the rescue and rehabilitation. With nearly 1,000 turtles at TCC, we are looking for your supports for care and future release of some of these animals back into the wild.<\/p>\n
