The course will be hosted by the ATP in collaboration with the Lao Conservation Trust for Wildlife (LCTW).<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Course\u2019s participants will have the opportunity to<\/em>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Learn about the identification and conservation status of endangered tortoises and freshwater turtles in Lao PDR;<\/li>\n<li>Understand more about the biology, behaviour and ecology of tortoises and freshwater turtles;<\/li>\n<li>Obtain new research skills for field work including surveying, handling animals and data collection on tortoise and freshwater turtle species;<\/li>\n<li>A chance to complete a short research project during 2019 following the training course.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>COURSE IN 2019<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>GENERAL INFORMATION<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Course date: 28<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0July- 4<sup>th<\/sup>August 2019<\/li>\n<li>Course duration: 8 days<\/li>\n<li>Location: the Lao Conservation Trust for Wildlife, Namak village, Ban Keun, Laos.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>WHO CAN APPLY?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Age requirement: 18 &#8211; 35<\/li>\n<li>Laotian students, young national biologists, conservationists.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>HOW TO APPLY?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Download\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/176.32.230.17\/indomyanmarconservation.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/2019_application_form_en.doc\">application form\u00a0<\/a>and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/176.32.230.17\/indomyanmarconservation.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/Information_sheet_EN.pdf\">course information\u00a0<\/a>attached below for more details on the course, scholarships and how to apply.<\/li>\n<li>Applicants can fill out online application form at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/zyk1b6\">https:\/\/goo.gl\/zyk1b6<\/a>\u00a0or email filled application form and scanned copies of supporting documents to ATP email address at\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:info@asianturtleprogram.org\">info@asianturtleprogram.org<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>SCHOLARSHIPS &amp; FEE<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The course fee is $400.00\/participant. The ATP and its partner organisation will be able to provide full or partial scholarship for most participants on this course.
